Update Status
"Update Status" moves findings to the status you choose in "Change Status to:". Use it to track triage: "Analyzing" while you investigate, "Response In Progress" while a fix is under way, and "Resolved" once it is done. Every status is offered; each is explained in Finding Status Options.
- Status: becomes the one you choose.
- Score and severity: "Resolved", "Closed Without Action", and "No Longer Seen" stop the finding counting toward the Digital Risk Score. The other statuses count. Severity does not change.
- Default views: grids open filtered to the open statuses ("New", "Analyzing", "On Watchlist", "Response In Progress", and "Reappeared"), so a finding moved to any other status leaves the default view.
- Where: every finding grid, the Findings page, and every finding's detail page. The dialog is "Update Finding Status".
- Who: every role in a grid; Admins and Analysts on a detail page.
- Undo: choose the previous status again.
Some Data Leakage & Dark Web Detection grids, such as "Snippets" in "Exposed Credentials", offer an "Update Status" that sets a record's own review status instead. See User Actions.
Example: your web team is replacing a certificate. Select the finding, choose "Response In Progress", and add "Web team replacing the certificate this week".
